How do you pronounce "QEJA"?

We pronounce QEJA as "kay-jah". The name was inspired by the names of the founder's four children - Quincey, Erin, Joshua, and Audrey.

Do the socks fit true to size?

Yes. However, if your foot is on the edge of the next size up or your foot is wide, we suggest going a size up. Same can be said for sizing down if you're on the edge and have narrow feet. In addition, the socks do break in after a few wear/wash cycles, so expect them to loosen up a bit and even become a bit softer.

Why is there a stripe on only one sock?

Our socks are shaped to be left and right foot specific for increased comfort and fit. The sock with the vertical ankle stripe goes on your right foot. This is a distinguishing design feature of QEJA socks, and also helps you quickly know each sock when putting them on. The socks are also labeled inside each cuff with a "L" for left foot, and "R" for right foot. Remember, stripe on the right!

What kind of packaging do you use?

Our packaging is all recycled material that is also curbside recyclable. The mailers are from EcoEnclose, a company striving to make packaging more sustainable in a consumer world. The ink it’s printed with comes from algae, a highly-renewable and non-toxic material that breaksdown easily. You'll see the only plastic used at QEJA is in the socks themselves.

Do you have womens / mens sizes?

All QEJA sock styles are designed to fit men and womens feet. Please refer to our sizing guide, found on our home page and each product page, to find your perfect fit.

What activities / sports are these socks good for?

The QEJA Sock is designed for any activity where you'd normally wear socks - walking, running, cycling, tennis, pickleball, golf, hiking, hitting the gym, in dress shoes, at the office, or even just lounging at home. In winter months or activities with cold exposure, you may find you want a warmer sock. However, when testing them in ski boots during the winter of 2021/22, we found them to be adequate and quite comfortable! (That lead us to want to design a taller sock with the same philosophy, so it would work better with taller cuff boots. Ski sock will be available winter '23/'24.)

We wear ours all the time, for sports and ‘professional’ activities (yes, to the office and during our commute there!) They also make great socks for air travel, providing some compression when sized appropriately.

What are the socks made of?

Your socks are constructed with 50% organic cotton–comfort for the top of the foot and leg, 35% anti-microbial polyamide–under foot and heel where performance is key, 10% recycled polyester–blended in the stripe, and 5% elastane–for the perfect stretch.

Where are your socks made?

We chose to have our socks made in Italy, where textile production standards are high and they have the technology to help us blend the perfect balance between comfort and performance.

How do I care for my socks?

Wash them and dry them in your regular fashion. However, we recommend you wash your socks on cold and tumble dry on low or line dry. These steps help reduce household energy use, minimize breakdown of the sock materials, and are generally good laundry habits that are gentler on the Planet.

Where do you ship?

We're shipping to U.S. address only as of September 2022. We will expand to Europe and Canada in the near future.

How long until I receive my socks?

Our warehouse is based in Salt Lake City, UT. Please allow 3 - 5 days standard shipping for orders based in the continental United States. You will receive a tracking number via email when your socks ship.

What is your return policy?

Returns are processed on a case-by-case basis. If you are unhappy with your purchase please let us know at yourfriends@qejasocks.com. Please include your Order Number in the subject line. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. Read more about our Return Policy

My socks arrived damaged or haven’t arrived as expected, what do I do?

If your socks arrive damaged or are lost, please let us know immediately at yourfriends@qejasocks.com. Please include your order number in the subject line of your email and attach any pictures of damaged items.
